            agreed but still worth more than an older, slower Moore. Plus it doesn't save much in salary

            I mean, Moore is a year older than Rust, and he isn't slow. He's not going to skate like Torey Krug or Kris Letang, but he isn't slow. Honestly I think a 28 year old d man is younger than a 27 year old forward in NHL terms, if you know what i mean.

            I'll admit I haven't seen much of him. Also if anything, the Pens need a RD not a LD. After Schultz gets traded this year, which I suspect he will, the Pens only have Letang and Guds (hopefully traded as well). So they really need more RD.

            Yea I was thinking if Edm added a 3rd it would be worth the risk. Even if JP is a bust, Pens still get something. But if JP turns it around and becomes the player everyone thought he could be....Pens win BIG!

            the penguins aren't a bottom feeder team, they don't need to risk that. They aren't giving up a solid player for a gamble.
