Tatar can get you a mid to late 1st rd pick, plus a B plus level prospect.
Weber is interesting. He's good, but he's at an age that he's more valauble with the team, rather than being traded
prospects are worth equal level prospects

I agree. No team is going to give us anything for Weber that we could use more than Weber right now.

Should be interesting how valuable he is in 5-7 years. Either as false Cap Hit for teams reaching for the floor. Or to Nashville as the retirement cap recapture penalty is UGLY!

Tatar - 2nd and ok prospect

Lehk - 2nd

Weber - contract sucks not interested

Lindgren - 5th

Prospects are hard to put a value on as they are not usually dealt for picks

Weber is still a great defenseman and leader. $7.8M is great value for him right now. In a few years, as mentioned above, we could trade him to a team looking to add $7.8M in Cap, but only $1M in salary. Even if he isn't a #1RD at that time, he would still be a great leader and mentor for any younger team. And Nashville will pay tons for that recapture if he decides he wants/needs to retire.

This contract has/will never "suck" for Montreal.

Not from me. Description was what would YOU offer. Never liked him. And i don’t give up 1sts for someone who won’t play 1st line for me.

I respect your opinion but I saw him play his 82 games and how are you see him overrated ?
He is a good second line LW or RW that can score 25 goals + very aggressive while not having the puck.
Cheap contract too (4.8m on the market now is amazing...) 28 years old

Not so much his play, what he’s been traded for the last few years. That has bloated the expected return for him.

Agree with you the Tatar we saw in Vegas was bad. But the tatar we saw this season has played very well and his not on the market (in my average fan opinion).
He played on the first line with Danault and Gally all year and was very good for us smile.
Edit : I'm maybe biased (like every fan) but his value should be a late first (20-30) and a B prospect

Agreed. He did disappear for quite a stretch last year though. Imagine what his numbers would have looked like.
