Opening Night Lines wexplanations

Created by: canesfan3030
Team: 2019-20 Carolina Hurricanes
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 23, 2019

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
My lines without Willy.

1st Line: It seems as though Nino is only productive when with Aho, and it seems like Dzingel only produces when surrounded with elite players as well.

2nd Line: Svech and TT seemed to have some good chemistry last year, and they proved that they can both produce without Aho. For some reason it seemed like Aho and Svech didn't quite click last year when they were on the same line together but I'm sure that won't be a problem long term. I put Haula in the middle because he has some scoring upside and he has the Finnish connection with TT, but he could be switched with Staal.

3rd Line: Pure checking line which will provide some secondary scoring for sure. Haula and Staal and interchangeable here.

4th Line: Give Necas the same line mates as svech had at the beginning of last year. I'm expecting Wally and Marty to elevate their game offensively as well, and paired with a skilled, speedy winger like necas this will easily be one of the strongest forth lines in the league. As the season goes on, necas can switch spots with McGinn or even move into the top 6 if he's playing well.

No Captain, 3 assistants: Staal, Slavin, Faulk

Fun Fact: From last year's opening night roster there are five new players:
Out: Ferland, Williams, Zykov, de Haan, McElhinney
In: Nino, Dzingel, Haula, Fleury, Reimer
*Necas on wing instead of center

Imo, this is an improvement on the ice, but some of the leadership from last year (obviously from Williams but also from other guys) is lost.

I still think you sign Williams. Bury Reimer. Call up Ned. Bean starts in Charlotte.

The advantage of the AHL team being in Charlotte is u don't have to sit guys in the press box, send them down to Charlotte and clear somewhere for Willy, you'd have the cap to call someone up if needs must, and if sh*t hits the fan, bury Reimer and callup Nedeljkovic
