Switch Jankowski for Dube and add a conditional 1st if he re-signs and add a conditional 2nd if Brodie re-signs

St. Louis is already really strong on the back end so trading a centre for a D-man isn't exactly in their best interests. St. Louis wants more offence if possible not defense. But coming off a cup I think they're going to keep as much of their roster intact as possible.

If Dube is added then CGY will need more than a 3rd back, imo the condition would be a 2nd both ways that cancel out if both re-sign

Schenn and a pick conditional on re-signing for Valimaki straight up

Edit2: I think we would actually have to protect Kylington so trade might have to be for Valimaki instead.

Definitely a prospect LD with top 4 potential. Plan is to protect Petro, Parayko, and Dunn in the Draft, so we don't want to trade for an LD that we'll just end up losing.
Trade would start with Valimaki for Schenn and we could take Frolik to balance the caps.

Don't think Flames will trade Valimaki for Schenn if they didn't for Stone. replace him with Kylington and I'd do it. Similar stats just not quite as high of a ceiling.

I'd argue that Dube and Valimaki are the only two players (outside of Tkachuk, obviously) that would interest the Blues. Frolik does nothing for the Blues. Jankowski is nice, but Barbashev and Sunqvist have the bottom two center positions. Perhaps a Schenn plus Barbashev trade?
