Description

Washington is unhappy with the Djoos arbitration ruling. It puts them over the cap.

Djoos and Ruta are basically place holders to allow Hague, Bischoff, Whitecloud, & Schuldt to get more experience in the minors for one more year. (Barring injury needs for call ups)

Gusev goes back to Tampa, who only traded him because they didn't think he was coming to the NHL during the time they had rights to him.

Bischoff and Whitecloud don't need much more experience.

The last thing Vegas needs is two question marks on defense making over a combined 2.5m. Tampa Bay and Washington can shelter Rutta and Djoos, VGK cannot. Go with the rookies.

It's def possible from the WSH side, but I think that they'd probably have moved Djoos prior to arbitration if they weren't interested in keeping him around. I think Copley is the odd man out in DC.
