Sabres should take that trade if they've got the cap space for it.

I hope the Jets don't trade either of those two but that's probably a fair trade really but by the time Deangelo and Buchnevich were signed the Jets probably don't gain any cap space, if anything they might be paying more then they would Ehlers and Roslovic so it's probably not worth it for them.

Shouldn’t NYR be adding d-men, not subtracting them?

Lotta question marks back there

But the idea of NYRs 1st pick in 2020 make this look pretty appealing for WPG. I could picture Lafreniere in Jets uniform.

Roslovic = DeAngelo + late pick

Ehlers > Buchnevich and a 1st.

It's pretty close. Maybe add a third going to WPG

We're not trading a 60 point winger making six million per year to solve our cap issues, especially one with seventy point potential.
I am really getting tired of these threads.
If Carolina offered Pesce for Ehlers I would bite. But if we're not getting a top pair dman on a team friendly contact, i.e. a serious overpay, it doesn't make sense.

I didn't crap on your players. They're just fine, but neither of them is a top pair defenseman on a team friendly long term contract. DeAngelo is an offensive defense that became 2nd pair caliber early last year. Buchnevich is a young top six forward that could be a 50 - 60 point guy long term. And you threw in a first. I already said what Ehlers is. Roslovic is a potential 2C and was regarded as untouchable by the Jets at the trade deadline. If it was just for Ehlers it would be good value. I wouldn't take it though.
Honestly the worst offers are usually the Montreal ones. I also saw a Dallas offer that was really bad. And there was a NYI offer for Connor that was a huge lowball.
Really it boils down to we don't have to trade Ehlers. You made a thread where you signed Connor and Laine long term and were under the cap after dumping Kulikov. The Jets don't have cap issues if they don't bring them upon themselves.

There's no ?'s back there anymore. They have a ton of great prospects that are 1-2 years away.

Skjei
Trouba
Fox
Miller
Hajek
Lundqvist
Rykov
Lindgren

They are waiting for Shatty's, Staal's, and Smith's contracts to end in 2 seasons.

So questionable defense for two years.
