This is a 26 man roster to show the depth, as clearly stated in the description.

Jarry would still get claimed off waivers, there aren't many 24 year old NHL ready goalies, he'd probably get claimed by OTT who would jump at the chance to get another young goalie to help in the rebuild

I like this a lot...I’m crazy enough to say this team is deep enough to let Bjugstad play on Malkin’s RW. Blueger is probably ready to 3C and Rodrigues would make a great 4C.

What?! we have a more than capable 3C, good defensively and offensively, and you want to move him to wing for a player that has 28 NHL games. With that vast sample size, you have concluded, that he is "probably" ready for 3C role. We have an abundance of middle 6 wings and a shortage of centers and you want to bump one to wing? Blueger still needs to prove that he is NHL ready, let alone 3C ready. Hopefully he can be a great 4th line C this year, then make Bjugstand expendable next year.

I’m just saying Blueger would have scored at a 30 point clip last year had he not been in the AHL. That’s more than enough for a 3C in Pittsburgh without Kessel.

McCann could also play the 3C role. He looked good at times with Crosby last year, but I think Kahun may make an even better linemate for Jake and Sid.

I think either McCann or Kahun play with Sid this year. I’m pretty sold on the idea of having Simon play on the fourth line because his level of possession and generation of scoring chances could make Tanev look more than serviceable on that fourth line.

OTT has Anderson & Nilsson signed. Like most teams already have the #1 & back-up set for game 1 of season like Billy G said last week and most teams would not be able to keep Jarry on Roster all year long too.

Lol. God was a fan of that Moses fella and he made him wander the desert for like 40 yrs or something. I wouldn't be surprised if god made the leafs wander for another 50 yrs.

God from the old testament seems to have a bit of a mean streak and a funny sense of humour. But even so, ya gotta have some faith.. wink

Im also a fan of Juggs playing on RW w/ Geno. I just dont think Blueger is ready for 3C yet... He needs to prove he can stay in line-up at 4C 1st.

I’m going to throw an extremely bold prediction at you here....by the midway point of the season Blueger will be the 3C because Sam Lafferty will come up sometime after Christmas and make a good enough impression to stay on the roster.

OTT would much rather have Jarry than Nillson and would just put him on waivers, Jarry fits in with their rebuild and could be a great 1B with Gustavsson/Daccord

Idk about all of that but hey i hope so tho. I also think that Lafferty or Angello could both be great 4th liners soon

Barring something absolutely insane from Jordy Bellerive I think Lafferty, Björkqvist, and Angello are the three main guys who will be up and down from Wilkes throughout the season. I feel like one of those guys could end up winning regular time by season’s end.
