Huh? You get Parayko who is a BEAST!.. If I could trade Leafs 2020 1st, Borgman, DeMelo equivalent which isnt that much and Bracco (?) for Parayko Id do it in heartbeat..

No way STL does it, but you having Chabot-Parayko as pairing? OH BOY!

The deal you just proposed from the leafs is completely different. I would do that too. But Ottawa is getting ripped off big time for this. Their first round pick is way more valuable than Toronto's (if they still had it). On top of that, Norris was a 17th overall pick who is still only 19 years old so that's basically 2 first round picks. Demelo is a legit top 4 right handed D who is only 25 and his advanced stats were crazy good, given he played for the worst defensive team in the league, and finally Wolanin is a great prospect with huge upside. I'll give you that he's comparable to Bracco, but Wolanin has already contributed in the NHL and bracco hasn't. I think these 4 pieces are worth a bit more than a late first round pick, Borgman, and Bracco. Don't get me wrong, Parayko is a stud, but they also gave up similar pieces for Duchene and look how that turned out.

I can't figure out who's trolling harder, OP for trading away Parayko or the Ottawa fans in the replies.

I didn't notice it was San Jose's first round pick and not the Sens. This changes everything. It's still a steep price but I think the sens have enough prospect depth to back it up. Good deal for both teams.

I'm sorry man, but that's absolutely fair price for Parayko. It's one thing to not be interested in the deal because you're still rebuilding, but to say that's too much for a top-10 prime RD in the league is just incorrect. I don't like the deal much myself, but if I had to deal Parayko, this is the type of return I would be expecting.

Yes I agree with you it is. Trust me, I know what to expect trading a prime RD (Karlsson… jk Cody Ceci). In fact, 3 of these pieces come from the Karlsson trade. It's a fair deal for sure - I was more so arguing how a late 1st, Borgman, and Bracco is not the same return and wouldn't cut it for St. Louis.

Out of context, *maybe*. In context, not on your life. The Blues don't need more depth in defense (at the serious expense of quality) and futures.
