Buffalo already has Miller, Montour, Ristolainen, Bogosian, Nelson and Jokiharju as RHD candidates going into this season. Can't see them acquiring another one. I also think you are a little low on DeAngelo's contract.

Apparently not, considering Gorton's been trying to trade him with retention for a year, with no suckers!

Shattenkirk is better than what people think. He'll be a good PP QB and is a good veteran presence, especially on a "minimal" salary

Injury prone, not a shutdown defenseman at age 30... I'd be happy to do that, especially since it clears salary space

Buffalo might not be an exact match for Shattenkirk... I would imagine there is a team out there that would take him for a deal like that though. Regarding the DeAngelo contract: it's entirely possible that the money is low, but giving him a third year might entice him, given his history... Maybe make it an even 2 mil?

yeah I don't think Shatty makes sense for Buffalo. Namestnikov or Strome do though. Both can play C if Casey hits another wall this year.

Has played more games over the past 2 years than: Dumba, Byfuglien, Dekeyser, Gustafsson, De Haan, etc. He played 73 games last year. He's fine.

In terms of what he's actually doing on the ice, not just fan's perception. This was his closest comp in terms of performance last season

klefbom-shat

His value to the team is high....

Ya... He might nit be an exact fit there... It can probably be done with another team where he would fit better

He's actually been better than I thought... my point of the trade is that they really could trade him to clear salary space...

Sure you can. But he's a positive contributer. Dumping him makes the team worse. Why wouldn't you clear someone like Smith or Staal who would make the team better in their absence?

if you get 6 bottom pairing dmen you can trade them in for 1 top pairing dmen.
