How about Hornqvist and Gudbranson for Frolik and Hamonic

I don't understand that trade. I guess you get Rust, but he's about as good as Frolik, and not you have to pay Gudbranson for two seasons.

rust is right hand shot signed longer gud adds toughness to the back end as a stop gop incase we lose hamonic next season

don't think your scenerio gets its done at all, pens are cap strapped, already over, and you are adding $$ to their current cap. stone and frolik get you gudbranson and hornqvist, not rust. that is if hornqvist would even waive to go to calgary. calgary has cap room...

Adding "toughness" is a slippery slope that gets a lot of teams into trouble by getting big players who aren't actually very good. And as far as forwards go, handedness is not that important. But either way, Pittsburgh can't take this deal because they're already over the cap and this adds about $300k to their number, and they still have to sign Marcus Pettersson.
