I think 2 2nds for Leddy is fair. But this seems like something that has been talked about all offseason. If Leddy to Mtl was going to happen in real life it would have happened already. Maybe after the last ufa and rfa deals are done.

Reilly and Alzner are worth nothing to us honestly. Kulak I like a lot, and maybe he can be a RD on the 3rd line but Leddy stabilizes it so much. His contract is decent and only 3 years so I wouldn't be too worried about it

A lot of MTL fans underestimate leddy. The only reason isles are trading him is because of the emergence of Devon toews. Leddy is one of the best skating puck moving defenseman in the league and can carry the puck into the O zone with ease. He’s not great defensively but that’s why you pair him with a more defensive minded dman

This deal wont be on the table, Kulak is better than Chiarot. So Mtl won’t try to get Leddy when they just signed Chiarot. I guess the prize was too high to get Leddy or Gostisbehere.
