Literally the only good thing he has going for him is that he can skate kinda fast and does so sometimes. He hurts his team's offense far more than he helps the defense and is borderline allergic to shooting the puck. Luckily they can bury his whole cap hit if he clears waivers, and if he doesn't clear then that's fine too.

The most replaceable player in the NHL. I hate this signing.

Moves are coming, I'd expect one of him or Djoos to be traded

You trolling? He was terrible in 2018-2019. Just look at his stats. He generated the some of the least offense of all forwards eligible stat wise. He's extremely replaceable by anyone that costs 700k and they'll do better probably.

Ya but they say he's a great locker room guy ...

I've heard he makes the most delightful cappuccino's in the NHL.

Oh don't get me wrong, he was on the 2018 Cup Champs team, so I'll forever have love in my heart for him. He's a very good boy and I'll always remember his shortie against CBJ in 2018 playoffs, but just like Jay Beagle, he's not very good at hockey, and waiving/trading him would be addition by subtraction.

its one thing to not like the signing but to say that he's not very good at hockey, just shows how much of an idiot you are. He's a regular NHL player and member of a stanley cup winning championship team. Dont say stupid things

He scored 11 points in 64 games and was a -13. At the “young age” of 25 I think the capitals would be better off using gersich or one of the other younger players in the ahl. I would say he’s closer to not very good at hockey than he is good at hockey. At this point we are so deep he won’t have a roster spot and we have ahl guys who are going to quickly leap frog him. Look at boyd who had double his production or dowd who was given the same opportunity and scored way more. Dowd was a league minimum guy last year. It’s not stupid it’s truthful and Bowey was part of that same cup team .... doesn’t make you good

Decent. His speed is literally the only thing he brings to the table. But Hagelin basically replaces that, so here we are. I would’ve denied the contract and let him be a UFA.
