Columbus decline, Bjorkstrand is almost an excellent top9 player with potential to be a top 6 player.
Coyle will command way more than that.
Letang have a NMC, so I doubt he wants to go in Buffalo

Yes Buffalo can compete, but wont make the playoffs. Toronto Tampa Boston Florida & Montreal are better IMO

Curtis Lazar j hoped would balance it as he has future and colombus badly need a starting goalie, would you add a pick?

Columbus isn’t at all interested in Hutton. We are content with starting the season with Merzlinkins and Korpisalo if the offer is right then maybe but Bjorkstrand isn’t going to be traded right now. He’s a young player still getting better and with the increased ice time he could get to 30 goals next season. For all the reasons you want him, Columbus wants to keep him.

Also of all the players Columbus has had Bjorkstrand is the only player in franchise history to score a series clinching goal for the blue jackets.

Then we really don’t want 35 year old Hutton. Merzlinkins should have shown he can be a starter by then.

Figure out goaltending/coaching. That's the biggest issue with Buffalo. They can make the playoffs on any other division since on paper they have an okay roster. But Atlantic is a ****. Tampa, Boston, Toronto....

Passing montreal and florida isnt crazy, this roster probably does that, but mittelstadt, cozens, and upl all have to be legit for their spots, tough to go 3-3 there. Hopefully laaksonen and samuelsson are in the mix on d. Thompson is not a center. If he makes it, its on the wing. But finding a 4th line center shouldnt be crazy.
