A 3rd line winger + 2nd round pick is good for a location, and Calgary have cap problem. Its a decent return.

My only concern with this as a Habs fan is that we just signed Ben Chiarot to fill this role. TJ Brodie is much better than Chiarot, obviously, but sending Mete to the AHL is not an option. He's an established NHLer at this point.

Mete-Weber (mentorship plus playmaker and goal scorer combo's always nice)
Brodie-Petry (they'll get top PP and PK and average 22-24 minutes )
Chariot-Juulsen (hard hitting and good for tons of shot blocks )
Folin

How about Kulak?

we'd flip him
i know it makes more sense to play him 7th D but then it removes any precieved increase in value after playing top 4 last year .
he's the first success story from our AHL Coaches first year
coach Bouchard gave him a boost but that doesnt make him part of the longterm plans
he's at Barberio level usefullness but we'd still waive him to protect a Folin or Nesterov because its limited potential

if we could get a 4th for morrow and a 5th for Jerebek then a 3rd for Kulak should be fair
MTL is stock piling prospects and picks so it would help us build enough depth to be a regular playoff team.

Flames aren't really looking for a 3rd line winger, not a fan. Doubt flames sell Brodie cheap. they will sell Fro cheap long before then and get out of cap hell that way. However, If it comes to it, I guess this will suffice.

Personnally, as a Hans fan i decilne this offer. Why get a LHD that plays on the right side? It doesn’t make sens because our right side has a lot of dept.

Brodie is playing Right side because they already have Giordano & Hanifin on the Left side. He'll play on the Left side in MTL
