Thornton will never sign in Boston.

Sens on Krug no trade list. And that is horrible for Bruins anyway.

I feel Like Thorton would sign if he felt he could win the Cup!!

Has Krug's no trade list been published? I haven't seen it and it would be interesting to know.

Bet he doesn’t. Hates the organization. Plenty of other teams can give him the same chance. Winning is not guaranteed.

Canada + 1 is his NTC list.

Thornton has stated numerous time that it's the Sharks or retirement, Plus all Canadian plus one American team are on Krugs no trade list. No way Krug leaves Boston for that joke of a team in Ottawa.

This is like backwards. Thornton signs b/c he feels he can win a cup, yet the bruins trade their best offensive D-man who was arguably their best player in the playoff run in a cap dump. Makes the Bruins worse this year, doesnt add anything to the future. Boedker and Thornton will be gone in a year. And I doubt Jumbo wants much to do with coming back here.

You really think the D corp is that much worse off without Krug, who isn't signing her next year.

Yes, and we dont know if Krug is signing here or not, and thats not really the point. The point is if you're gonna trade Krug and ride with those 6 defensemen which obviously youre comfortable with, you should go out and get assets that help you down the road. Not two guys past their prime signed to one year deals who are definitely not gonna resign. If you trade Krug youve already opened up the space for Mac/Carlo, get a first rounder, get a prospect, get a young forward. Buyout Backes next year when you can actually save money.
