Description

I love Krug as a top defender on the Bruins, but it looks like we won’t be able to resign him next year. He wants to play in Canada, so make him a part of the Backes trade to move him out as well.

Sens are not taking on Backes for a player that won’t re-sign there. Plus Krug and Backes both have NTC, and Krug def not waiving for OTT. Would have to be a 3team deal where he was flipped.

Heres something I would do. Same deal switch the 2nd to a 3rd, and add a 3rd team to take Krug and give us a 1st round pick.

You're far better off moving Krug to a team he'd want to re-sign with and getting a 1st or high end prospect. This deal makes very little sense for Ottawa. Adding salary AND giving up a 2nd round pick? Nah.

Where did hear that Krug wants to play in Canada? Pretty much all reports are that all Canadian teams are on his no trade list. Edmonton comes to mind. And no way in hell Krug signs with Ottawa that team is a joke right now.

Pretty much all NHL Insiders have said that pretty much all Canadian teams are on Krug's no trade list, So obviously you heard wrong.
