i understand that it's an underpayment but Toronto needs cap and their defensive core is struggling. I was thinking of Larrson and Johnsson one for one would be more fair but that will make toronto over the cap

didn't you just say the leafs need cap? Larsson has a higher cap. I think the leafs D-core is at very least better, on the right side they have Barrie (offensively elite), Ceci (paired with Muzzin might make him better similar to Zaitsev), and Liljegren. Larsson is definitely the icing on the cake but then the leafs left side wing looks real risky, Hyman who is decent, mikheyev who might or might not translate well, trevor moore who is ok, and then you could slot in Timashov, but that being said 3 of the players I mentioned will be having their first NHL season.

We'll give you Hyman and Ceci for Larsson.
