Buffalo passes.

Sheary is comparable to Rust, and being on an expiring contract is a plus since it gives us flexibility in managing our roster. Getting locked up to three more years of Rust doesn't help our glut of third-liners.

You are correct the two are very comparable and I think with a better center Sheary could get back to his 20+ goals, Rust is right handed, so he fills a hole in the Sabre's line up.
