Great trade to pick-up Juulsen as he plays with alot of heart.

The Marner trade makes absolutey no sense. The Leafs will never trade Marner as he is a franchise and generational player and in a different league than Eberle and Cizikas. Matthews and Nylander will be traded before Marner is ever traded by the Leafs.

I'd prefer to just let Marner sit out the entire year.

I doubt Matthews or Nylander will go on the chopping block before Marner. At this point, Marner costs too much and will hinder getting better defence. Money becomes a huge issue to signing quality players.

Marner is the reason Tavares and other players want to play in Toronto as they want to play with him. How can you say he costs too much when he was one of the top point producers in the entire NHL. He has led the Leafs in points for the last 2 years and would have lead the Leafs in points in his first year if he did not miss some games and was not 100% healthy. I think Nylander is on borrowed time and he will the player traded to upgrade the defence and not Marner.

Dude you need to fix that Islanders deal. That's terrible value for the Leafs.

both those guys are 20+ goal scorers, doubt it they will give them up less than what I have given.

Marner had atleast 20 more points than your 2 Islander players combined.

Eberle is 29 and in decline... Cizikas is 28 with one 20 goal season... look at his career stats, he's a 4th line player, don't get me wrong he's one of the better 4th liners but this deal hurts Toronto bad.

Marner is one of the best RWs but he is by no means generational

Marner plays like the great, great Max Bentley and these type of players do not come along very often so as a fan you should appreciate his greatness. The Leafs have not had a player like Marner for years. He is a franchise player who more and more fans will come to realize is actually a generational player as he continues to improve his game.

He's played 3 seasons.
