Kucherov and McDavid are so close for me, but i went with McDavid because his numbers come with not as good line mates.

4. Kucherov
5. P. Kane
6. Sid
7. Draisaitl
8. Matthews
9. Bergeron
10. Price

Centers are usually the foundational players. 7 of my top 10 are Centers if you count Draisaitl. Price's numbers would be ridiculous if he played for Tampa or another top team. I'd also like to state that this list is based on right here, right now. Some of my "just missed" were injured last season. Guys like Hall, Erik Karlsson, and Hedman could've def. qualified if healthy. Barkov is my Hart Trophy winner for next season. I think everyone has Sid higher than I have him, but I think #'s 2-6 are very subjective and could easily vary.

Out of the top six 20 or so Forwards in the league Barkov is the 2nd best defensive Center behind Bergeron. And I think Barkov is superior offensively. If defense is just as important as offense, I would argue that Barkov is the 2nd best all-around player behind McDavid. Barkov's incredible 2-way game really sets him apart.

He's my early pick for the Hart next season and I think Florida will finish top 3 in the Atlantic. Also, his line-mates are solid offensive players but Kucherov has Stamkos and MacKinnon has Landeskog and Rantanen, both of whom are better offensively than Huberdeau and Dadanov. But like I said it's close. My #'s 2-6 are pretty much interchangeable.

That's more than Landeskog, who played with a better player than Huberdeau IMO.

Kucherov at 8? How is he #8? The guys you have ahead of him are really good, but Kane, Barkov, Ovechkin, Hedman, and MacKinnon ahead of Kucherov? I'd put him ahead of Crosby, too. I have him 2nd behind only McDavid.
