Ottawa would be silly to not take that deal. I think both of those contracts are moveable and I would hate to see OTT rush Batherson and/or Branstromm into what is surely going to be a very frustrating seasons of NHL hockey in Ottawa. I'd much rather they play all the key situations during a winning season in Belleville.

I’d have to bet that Edmonton is probably on Schultz’s no trade list.

Hi everyone,

I’m sorry for disturbing you all, but I have a question. Does anyone remember Ilya Kovalchuk at his peak? About how good of a player would you say he was? Was he on the same level as Rick Nash? Out of 99, how highly would you rate him at his best overall?

The Oilers already have Bouchard who is better than Schultz.

Hi everyone,

Sorry for disturbing you all. However, I have a question regarding Ilya Kovalchuk. Does anyone remember him at his peak? How good would you say he was? Was he on the same level as Rick Nash? Also, at his best, how high would you rate him out of 99?

Thanks for reading.

Yes, i remember Kovalchuk. He was better than Nash when he was at his peak. Now why do you keep giving us notifications? Also, why in this thread?

Kovalchuk was an absolute beast. But he like went through phases of high end play. Started out like OV where he could score a ton, then was more a complete player with NJ going to the cup.

Thank you everyone for commenting. The reason why I quoted y’all was because I felt you are all very knowledgeable about hockey players, therefore it was worth hearing your opinions. How would you rate Kovalchuk’s performance in the 2012 playoffs with NJD? Was he just another passenger on the team?

Was still pretty young at that point but I think kovalchuk was better than Nash. Both were amazing talents and fun to watch though.

I agree. Now I want to ask, what type of player would you say Sidney Crosby is? Is he a playmaker or grinder or 2 Way Forward?

All of the above? I feel like his game is many styles molded into one.

Yeah but I can only pick one role for EA Sports NHL. I think I’ll go with playmaker. What about Malkin, what would you say he is? Playmaker/Sniper/Power Forward?

I loved the days back in NHL 08/09 when Geno was considered a sniper so I’d probably go with that.

Thanks for the suggestion. The game has him listed as a playmaker, and looking at his stats, he has quite a lot of assists. However he’s also really physical and large, so I guess you can categorize him as that too.
