Exactly and I don't know how you do to think that both wild card teams will be from the Metro division. Carolina and NYI were good last year because their goalies were tremendously good. It will not be the same story for this year. New Jersey and NYR are too young this year. Maybe the next 2-3 years.
You really think that Florida will not get in the playoffs? Explain me?
Huberdeau Barkov Dadonov
Hoffman Trocheck Tippet
Vatrano Borgstrom Malgin
Sceviour Acciari Connolly
Yandle Ekblad
Matheson Straalman
Weegar Pysyk
Bobrovskiy
Tampa vs Montreal
Toronto vs Boston
Washington vs Florida
Philly vs Pittsburgh
Well, as with any team, you are banking on health, generally speaking, through out the course of the season. So, if this team rests on Bobrovksy, he needs to be great, and remain healthy. Next, Ekblad has not yet proven to me he is a top pairing defensemen, he makes too many mistakes. Keith Yandle is basically all offense. Stralman has had plenty of injury issues himselves, so I count that as a potential issue. As far as your top-6 forwards go, Tippett has not proven anything yet in the NHL, Trocheck is coming back from a big injury and Hoffman will almost assuredly take a step back offensively. Plus their bottom-6 forwards, will given them minimal offense. If anything, Tippett plays primarily in the minors and Connolly takes his stop in the top-6. So, they have a good #1 line, and a couple other good pieces defensively, in Ekblad (at least as a top-4) and Matheson, plus Yandle helps with the PP. As such, I don't see this team getting into the playoffs. If you put health aside for a second, I think NJ is a more well-rounded team than the Panthers, who I think sneak past them in the standings, and perhaps, into the last wild card spot.
