Always a tough question, because the trade market fluctuates quite a bit. Just off the top, fair value would be something like Craig Smith and a mid-draft pick to the Canes for Brock McGinn and Haydn Fleury. I imagine the Preds wouldn't simply sell Smith to reclaim assets, but would want more of a hockey deal.

A 24 yo 3rd line winger with 20 goals potential vs a 3rd liner 29 yo Craig Smith. Yeah 100% doesnt make sense for MTL
