Reset year 2

Description
At the trade deadline, if we are out of the playoff, I would be ok trading Petry. I think a Muzzin kind of deal is a good comparable. Muzzin is 30 and Petry will 32 and he is a better skater and put more pts (42 and 46 last 2). If you have a trade proposal from your team at the deadline for 1 year and a half of a solid RHD let me know in the comment. Julsenn and Brook could take the second and third righ handed spot.

I'm pretty sure if the habs are out of a playoff spot at the tdl, thye will surely trade petry and tatar. both have a year left, so it wont be a rental, and both can fetch a 1st rd pick.

Maybe, but only if the habs are for sure not going to make the playoffs, and Brook looks like he’s ready to make the jump. McDonagh could be another good comparable, but the JT Miller inclusion muddies the trade.

Muzzin is a very good comparaison dont you think ? A late 1 and 2 B+ prospect (if we retain salary).

Muzzin is not near as good as Petry, but MTL will be in a wild card spot all year so I don't see much from them. I do see them moving a Lw if Poehling and Koko have good years. The team is bloated in the middle 4 but after the injuries last year I see why they did this, same as the Bruins with defense men,

i think we will have a season close to last year , and we will finish 8-9 or 10 . so little chance of play off but not that much . and i hope at the TDL we trade Petry and Tatar not because i don't like them but because we can have a good return for them and i think the young guy can take their spot by the end of the season.

Probably, but Petry is a better defenseman than Muzzin. Maybe we can squeeze out a slightly better prospect, but the framework of that deal should work.

Petry is better than Muzzin but the return the LA receive was insane (22nd ovrl + Sean Durzi + Carl Grundstrom). I would love that type of return for petry. This season in 59 games (playoff includes) Durzi put 14 goals and 50 assists for 64 pts in the OHL. Not a first pair potential but still good job by the Kings. So a first of any containder team this season (20-31 pick in the 2020 draft will have great value) + 1 or 2 solid prospect.

Maybe a team like the Stars could have interest. In a senario where Dallas is in the top 3 of their division and they want to go all in they could easily trade their 1st (protected) + one of Dellandrea/Roberson/Fellabher/Harley. We could also retain salary. Their top 4 could be Lindell-Klingberg and Heiskanen-Petry. Pretty solid with Bishop. That could sound a lot for the stars but I dont ask their best prospect (they choose who they let go and if we want him the trade work). Petry is not a rental too.

It could be a good landing indeed, but it depends if their RD Johns is OK coming back from an injury and even if Dallas goes for Shattenkirk or not. Also, Dallas isnt usually on a NTC list (low taxes) (let's not forget Petry has a M-NTC of 15 teams)
