Nope that’s the ballpark. Good snag on the prospect too, could be a 6th round gem.

Honestly I've always found Frolik underrated. He is a defensively strong 30 year old winger who is good for half a point per game and 15ish goals (he literally was almost exactly that for 6 of the last 7 years). 4.3 million is more or less what that costs. If that prospect is decent they shouldn't have to retain anything.

Ok cool. And yup honestly first time hearing of him when I was looking at Calgary players. Seen that he was finn and put up decent numbers last season.

Calgary and there somewhat desperate cap situation might just give you Frolik with 1m retained for free. Frolik has M NTC, just might many teams on his trade list that can afford him.

No. I think you're right in the ballpark. Carolina shouldn't have to pay more than a third, but Calgary shouldn't have to retain.

Didn’t notice the retained salary. Not sure they want to do that. Maybe a better pick.
