First off it's earth, learn what gravity is and come back down to it.
Yes i think right now we need a top 6 player because even though he has surgery it doesn't automatically transform him into a top 6 winger. He needs to develop. we signed role players this year to play PK so he won't see any of that time and he won't be making pp1, he'd see limited minutes line pp2 if he made the team this year. Why shelter him to third line minutes this year when he would be the go to man in the AHL and be able to develop into the top 6 player that he can be.

So you are writing him off already, had a procedure to correct a heart issue (congenital heart condition) its not some chronic issue plaguing him from playing hockey, what every article written about him also claim.

You want the best out of Kadri...im curious you listed those players, what makes them get the best out of Kadri, what is it that you are trying to achieve with those type of guys. Bc this just feels like I dont know or trust any of the young guys so I am going to list a bunch of guys bc that will make it look better on paper in your eyes

At what point am i writing him off? it's called drafting and developing. Look at Jost he was rushed onto the team and he's just starting to find his way after being sent down and getting some confidence. Rants played a full season down there and lit it up then came up and got the minutes cause he proved he could. Why not let him build down there gain his confidence as a top player in all situations then make the move up when players like nieto, calvert, bellmare are gone so he is a go to guy in defensive situations?
Kadri has had his best seasons when he played with players better than him, which i assume would be the same with anyone, but if he wants to get 30 goals again we will have to provide someone who is able to make him better. Since he like to shoot i don't see how Kauts deceptive hard shot and very very sound defensive play are going to get the best out of him. Obviously were not going to get marner on his wing again from his best seasons in toronto but i think us getting someone who has proven they can play at the nhl level and can produce points would boost his confidence. These players are solid NHL players who can slot into 2nd line, fill a hole on the 2nd powerplay and have a right handed shot. We currently have 3 right handed shots in the lineup and outside of mack none has been much for point producers in their career so far. Kadri is 28 thats pretty much the prime of his career right now, i think we should surround him with someone who is also at that point in their career instead of putting him with someone who is still developing.

What do you think a fair package is for him?

Pens have too many wingers and need to shed cap space to sign Pettersson so I think they would be able to work out a deal for a pick or prospect with Colorado because they`re mostly looking to just add at this point
