Doesn't Czarnik have to go through waivers? He for sure gets picked up. Oil would take him, he'd easily be our 3C at this moment lol...and yes I know he didn't play much C in Calgary...but he'd still be the Oilers 3C becuase...we don't have one

maybe but also doubtful. While the Oil's potential 3C candidates aren't exactly intimidating, they have a decent amount of players fighting for that spot at camp

They do yeah, I sure hope one turns out. But there are a few FA possibilities out there as well (Sheahan, Lindberg, Boyle, Brassard).

Brassard could be a nice gamble for 3C on a tryout. Didn't even know Lindberg was a UFA but pretty sure he spent most of his career on LW. Sheahan is a good fourth liner but not much else. Boyle would be 3C but it depends if he wants to go to EDM. My guess is EDM is pushing for Granlund on that spot and they want to revive his game. Then there's guys like Marody, Haas, Cave (wouldn't want that), etc fighting for that spot. Like I said not intimidating, but Marody could be a surprise or even a guy like Haas who is unknown as of now

He would be a great winger there. Frolik is being traded so he will stay in calgary. Tkachuk will get more money and term.

I really hope Calgary doesn't get rid of Frolik. His defensive upside is substantial as part of the 3M shutdown line (Tkachuk, Backlund, Frolik). All three have a corsi for above 55%, And with about 46% offensive zone starts, that's substantial. Also key for the balance of the team.

I really think Calgary's moves after the Stone buyout is shuffling the bottom 6 so that the dollars work out.

He has asked for a trade and Calgary needs the cap space. Can’t see it going any other way.
