Shattenkirk and Sergachev scare me from defensive perspective.. also redundant.. rather we go for Kreider .. trade Gourde and Erne for Kreider.. LOTS of people waive for New York and Partarin Kakko King Henry and a real city with a good old RI coach

Didn’t Shattenkirk block a trade to Tampa a couple years ago? Pretty sure it was Johnson for Shattenkirk

I just know we went after him kinda hard. I don't remember the details tbh.

I don't see JBB making it happen. If he wanted to trade Gourde, he would've done it month ago.

The rumor was Johnson for an extended Shattenkirk a couple years ago. Lightning reportedly offered him 7 years at 6 mill a year, but Shattenkirk nixed the deal because he wanted to only go to the Rangers. I think a 1 to 1.5 million, 1 year prove it deal could work. I'd also like to get Kreider, but at this point it looks more like the Rangers may want to hold onto him until the deadline. At the present time, unless the Rangers are willing to retain close to 1.5 on him(unlikely)or Point takes a much lower value than most are expecting(also unlikely), the Bolts don't have the space for him until the deadline. I don't see Gourde waiving tbh, and the NYR would want prospects and picks coming back for Kreider, not more salary. If they would retain what Tampa would require, I could see the TBL 2020 1st and maybe ABB plus a 2021 conditional 3rd or 4th for Kreider. I'd rather give Stephens, Raddysh, Katchouk or N. Foote rather than Barre-Boulet, but if push came to shove than something around ABB could work.

Thank god he blocked it, otherwise we would be in so much worse situation.
Currently i think Schenn > Schattenkirk. So i dont see why we would sign him, unless its close to minimum contract.(under 1mill). I say we skip him. Let him play somewhere else...

Hahaha, i guess from this: we can conclude Foote = NOT ready at all, which is sad frown
Rutta = they realized finally he is bad... ( Chicago fans would have helped BriseBois before we traded, didnt need to test)
Schenn = they expected better
Hamonic or any other high skilled 3-4.5 mill $ RHD = too expensive to sign for now...
or we want to retain salary for cap reasons from the max 4-5mill $ ... and other teams dont want to retain, for example 1.5 mill retain = too much to pay for right now, but at trade deadline = maybe cheaper when teams are thinking they are never making playoffs... and they have cap space due to injuries,trades etc... or we want a forward like Pavelski(rip),Kreider(maybe?) etc...

For 1.75, it's not the worst, so im kinda okay trying him ... If we sign him for 2.5-2.75 mill x 2-3 years, i would be kinda mad lulz

This is so similar to the Sekera signing for Dallas Stars = 1.5mill @ 1 year
So better player+ younger + RHD harder to find + no taxes = 1.75 not that bad... the best part: only 1 year

Let's see what he can bring to table. Maybe on 3rd line = he will be perfect and Cernak+Serg = climbing the ranks to top+middle pair RD

This signing also signals to me : Pointerz contract = 100% done, but we wait for weeks, months for the announcement, to make other team's life worse.

rock on rock on rock on Inc really team friendly contract! Hopefully under 9 mill for lots of years, if bridge deal = not possible... Congrats BriseBois! applaud applaud applaud
