Why would the Wild do this? They have too many forwards as is.

Which doesn’t matter because there’s still only so many roster spots..

JT Brown won’t be in the NHL. Foligno will play on the 4th line in a role he’d be better suited for than Frolik.

Aside from centers, they have Parise, Zucker, Zuccarello for veteran top 9 wingers and need ice time for Fiala, Kunin , Greenway, Donato to develop. Foligno and Hartman will likely be the 4th line wingers with Staal, Koivu, Erickson Ek as definite centers. Rask will likely center the 4th line or sit in the press box if they move Kunin or Greenway to center. No room for Frolik, even if he’s an immediate upgrade over a young player they want to develop.

Sorry I forgot about Greenway, you're right as much as Frolik is better then some of the guys the Wild presently have he doesn't really fit there given the amount of wingers they have plus the desire to give ice/development time to some younger players.
My apologies!

This whole discussion is rendered pointless if they hire Chiarelli. They interviewed him today...

I may become a full time Caps fan if they hire him.

I still say that the flames need to take Brodie and Frolik and somehow turn them into a top 9 right handed forward and an RHD prospect. This trade is not that but is actually a solid hockey trade. Frolik wants out, Calgary needs the cap space. This allows them to move Brodie, buy out stone and still have a very solid rhd of andersson, hamonic and Pateryn.

Didn't Frolik already veto a trade to Minny? What's with Calgary fans fascination with trading Frolik to Minny?

Where does everyone get this idea that Frolik nixed a trade to Minnesota? Its like the school kid that heard seagulls cant fart and explode if they eat ex-lax lol. Just becomes a fact for some unknown reason.

Isnt that the point of the rumor phone game when you're like 10 years old. Cant just trust what people say because they make up stuff through the grapevine...

I would pass from Calgary's perspective. Frolik is an effective player, and his contract comes off sooner, and the Flames are quite deep on defense. He has enough value Cgy could trade him for a pick as opposed to taking a contract back.

No, it was literally reported multiple times by multiple sources, hence: where does EVERYONE keep getting this idea! But by all means, keep living in denial.
