Edmonton says no. Also, as a Ranger fan, really not interested in RNH

As a Ranger fan I'd probably do this. RNH might do better with a change of scenery. For Edmonton, I'm not sure it works as well. Buchnevich would be a good pick up but adding both Namestikov and Strome is meh. They'd be better off with a prospect or a pick in place of one of them. And no need for the Oilers to add a pick.

Namestnikov and Strome may be meh in your eyes but they're much better then the meh the Oilers are currently trotting out and no they don't need a prospect or picks they need help now which these guys would provide.

Strome has a year left and RFA status so he is at least controlled for awhile and can center the 3rd line.
Namestnikov has played well with top talent in the past so maybe he'll find that touch again in the Oilers top 6 and he might resign in Edmonton if he has success, better chance of Namesnikov signing with the Oilers then Kreider who so many want to trade to Edmonton. Buchnevich seems like he's at least a 45 point player so yes he's a good addition and is controlled for awhile as well.

This trade is fair to both teams and makes the Oilers better now and for the near future.
