The Oilers wouldn’t want Scandella even if Buffalo retains. We have plenty of LD. Maybe if it was Miller or Montour instead.

What the Oilers would really like from buffalo (but unfortunately don't have the cap space to do so) would be Ristolainen. Benning, Pullijarvi, and maybe a 1st or 2nd would get the deal done in my opinion.

This doesnt fill a need. We need a second line center or rw if we move ristolainen. Its basically a futures package with a first being the most valuable piece, and i dont think our gm can afford to move ristolainen for futures.

Doesnt make sense as we just acquired these two rhd plus jokiharju to redo our own right side. Also, i dont see our gm as a guy to flip a recent acquisition. Scandella is caught in a numbers game and coming off of a bad season- i suspect thats why the trade was suggested.
