It's not a bad idea, but they'd likely lose Stecher in the expansion draft. It just wouldn't be worth it at that point.

Also Johns seems to be on the roster when the season begins, so there's no huge need for Stecher as well.

Nah. Cogliano is worth something for us, good penalty killer and durable as heck. Also fast. Hanzal has no trade value as he's LTIR bound. It's essentially dumping Eriksson for 2nd rounder, which no one would take. He sucks, plain and simple.

Now if DAL had to take Eriksson, then how about a deal like this?

Dallas Stars
Loui Eriksson ($1,25M retained)
Jett Woo
2020 2nd round pick (VAN)

Vancouver Canucks
Blake Comeau
Martin Hanzal
Julius Honka

Canucks aren't interested in Honka as the right side is fine. Woo is also a top 5 prospect. I think they'd give up a A- to B level prospect to dump him, but not an A+ or A level.

I'd be willing to part with Gadjovich

Why is Fedun included in the original trade then?

As for DAL, there's no need for LWs. RHD is probably our weak point, we don't have great prospects on that slot.

If you want to dump Eriksson to DAL, I think adding Woo is a must.

You can have Palmu? Fedun was there to take Stetcher's role. Woo isn't making the team this year.

Palmu lol didn't he have trouble to fit in your AHL roster last year... Not exactly something we'd be after.

Trust me when I say that you won't be dumping Eriksson without giving up either a first or a top prospect.
