You are insane if you think Risto is that worthless. He’s a mid6 offensive Dman. And young; you don’t trade them for aging wingers and a 2nd

He is horrible defensively, why do you think Sabres having trying to trade him since the last season deadline?

I am happy to include perreault in a trade for risto, because I know Winnipeg needs to shed cap. But roslovic better be coming back too.

The ROR trade was an awful trade. Getting rid of Ristolainen and saving cap space is a winner...

Ristolainen is by no means a cap dump...

Definitely not. Perreault is not a cap dump either. In each team's situation tho, they are dumped for cap reasons.

How does this trade become fair? Roslovic is definitely not involved. I think this is the most I would give up if I were the Jets.

Perrault is an overpaid 4th liner

Risto is a PP specialist 2nd pair dman who needs a solid stay at home LD partner

Overpaid sure. 4th liner, definitely not.
Risto is apparently also a defensive liability.

well he sure as hell aint a legit top 6 forward

yeah risto isnt a shutdown dman but he puts up points and top 4 dmen are always more valuable than a bottom 6 forward

Perreault can easily play a middle six role but I personally think he's best as a 3rd liner. He could produce if given the opportunity tho.
Yeah Risto is more valuable, hence the 2nd rounder and the slight reprieve in cap space for Buffalo.

dude the Buffalo sabres are made up of basically a bunch of middle six players already thats the last thing we need...

a former 6th rounder overpaid 3rd line winger who is going to be turning 32 next season for a 24 year old former top 10 pick who got more points last season as a dmen in less games than said 3rd liner hahaha

this trade sucks

Points and former draft position is all that matters for nhl players now? Lol.
If you don’t want Perreault then fine the deal doesn’t go through. He’s the guy that had to be sent back for cap reasons. But value wise, you aren’t going to get a whole bunch for Risto if you trade him now.

okay well then thats what im saying id much rather hold on to the younger player, who plays a more important position, who produces more offense, who was drafted higher, who has more potential and who has more term than trade for Mathieu Perrault
