Description
As a Jets fan I am a little worried about the coaching staff that we have. it seems like PoMo has lost the locker room a little bit. Watching it seems like wheeler is the one running the ship and that worries me. .

Aging Wheeler and his long-term contact scare me, I know that right now he is still a 75-90 point guy but in a couple years I see that contract being really bad. The reason I say that is that Wheeler won't want the sheltered minutes he should probably receive and that may shorten his career. Wheeler at this point in time could yield a great return in a trade, not an insane amount but he can definitely fetch a good return.

I also think that Buff is starting to get up there in age, he's still a dynamic player that really dictates the pace of a game. He doesn't scare me as bad as his contract expires after the 2020-2021 season. But I do think he is someone that the Jets could sell high on and receive some solid pieces in return for.

Bryan Little is someone who I think needs to go but will be hard to get rid of. He has an awful contract and he's pretty much a 3c. I don't know how the jets move him, maybe he gets picked in Seattle draft but I personally think he needs to go.

I think that if the Jets are out of a playoff spot by TDL this season, there should be some change in the lineup. If they want t extend their window in which they can contend, they should maybe look towards an accelerated rebuild and a quick retool. I don't think that the Jets have a very strong F prospect pool outside of Appleton and Vesalainen. They could sell high on some aging players and really retool and extend their contention window.

Obviously roster isn't complete, this post is just made to spark conversation about changes that could/should happen. I think there needs to be some change if the Jets want to stay contenders for a good amount of time.

Would love to trade wheeler maybe in a year or two, trade him, buff will just be let go to FA. Agrees the jets need to start restocking some shelves. How about ya look to MTL, Suzuki and poehling In particular are guys I can see be great fits on the jets.

I 100% like the idea of Wheeler being traded next year. I think Scheifele could definitely take over that leadership role.

Need to fix the blue line before you worry about the coach. How does Justin Schultz sound?

Jets have some good d prospects, trading for one that has term just blocks their prospect pipeline.

What is it you think you can offer MTL that would land you either Poehling or Suzuki??

Laine Ehlers, Connor, lmao ? any player that had played in the league and decent that isn’t over like 30 had more value then them as of right now.

Laine is interesting but one dimensional. He is over valued by WPG in my opinion and by himself. He seems to be looking for way more than he is actually worth. Ehlers also shows moments of brilliance but is also inconsistent. The problem with any kind of trade is as you pointed out that Poehling and Suzuki are both unproven. Any trade involving them would require multiple pieces. I don't believe Montreal would be willing to trade multiple young assets for either Laine or Ehlers.
