Wow what a team they have assembled. I think it does the Leafs a favour to get him for three years and keep RFA rights when that ends.
I think he could get 9M x 3, and everyone would be happy. It works if you don't have so many players counting against the cap too. For instance Hyman/Dermott on LTIR until ready, Wilson on Marlies (likely landing place anyway).

uhh because lilly pad isnt nhl ready yet... I mean would you rather rush a player who has top 4 potential or use a guy who is bad but you can play for minimum minutes. also, Holl is an extra, I mean I would not lilly rotting in the pressbox

I think Point will get the richest bridge contract in the history of the NHL. Marner wants his contract to be UFA ending.
