Sorry, but that’s 100% no from Columbus. Zucker would be a great add, but we need our picks. One 1st round in 4 years isn’t how a team becomes a contender. Hard pass from them.

Looking at the current day roster of the Wild - they have such a weird dichotomy of contract quality. They have awful, behemoth contracts in Parise and Suter, but then they have ridiculously good value contracts in Zucker, Dumba, and Dubnyk.

With those two contracts for Suter and Parise, the Wild are going to be a weird team in terms of their roster construction for the next couple of years. Suter should still be pretty good for the next 2-3 years, barring injuries. Parise, when healthy, is still very good. But then, they go out and sign Zuccarello to a 5 year contract. The Wild just befuddle me.

They should absolutely trade Zucker, Spurgeon, Dumba, and Staal for prospects or picks. I'd even consider moving Dubnyk for the right price.

I would have Dubnyk as kinda a trade deadline piece

Yeah I don't get it. Owner pays the bills so if he wants to contend then why would a new GM come in and rebuild?
Makes no sense.
