Columbus easily matches that. It would take 4 1st rounds picks for Columbus to consider not matching an offersheet.

Well let’s hope they don’t

It’s also a division rival so unless it’s a massive overpay 100% Columbus matches. We aren’t letting Pittsburgh or anyone in division take one of our top 4 remaining players unless they massively overpay for him.

I don't see any of the things in this ACGM that would actually happen.

1. Edmonton isn't taking Johnson's contract when they have a crappy cap situation too.
2. I'd be surprised if Vegas used a 2nd rounder on prospects when they could use that second for a trade deadline acquisition, or sending their 2nd in a package to dump a bad contract.
3. Why does Montreal want Galchenyuk back? Especially giving up on Drouin for a player that didn't fit in there? I'd get them moving Drouin for a player, but not for a player that they already know about and saw the development of.
4. Why would NYI want to trade their borderline franchise player and 1C for an aging Malkin, a defensive prospect, and picks?
5. Columbus would easily match that offer sheet for Werenski. There's no reason why they wouldn't for that price tag. IMO it's actually a pretty fair AAV and term for a top pairing defenseman.
