you are going to be very disappointed in an Hall trade if that is your barometer for a return

NSH rejects, Hall isn't that much better than FF, but FF is on a steal of a contract, Saros is the future of their goaltending, AND a first

Hall needs a elite healthy 6 months, before they have a chance of getting what they want and by then they maybe all in on a playoff spot and a tough decision

Stone to Vegas is your comparable, bc Stone had an extension in place as part of the deal..... A top prospect in Brannstrom, a 3rd line forward Oscar Lindberg , and a 2nd round pick. Not a Top line player, a Top en d back up with Starter potential and a 1st rounder

I would take Stone over Hall when you look at how good Defensively Stone is and is still a ppg winger

Goalies are always tough to value. I'd remove Saros and replace with prospect. I'd think the following would be perfectly fair for Hall:

1. Forsberg
2. Prospect (not Tolvanen but Davies, Allard, Harper level)
3. Conditional pick (1st if he resigns, 3rd if he doesn't)

FF is very good. But Hall is, in fact, much better.

Stone is close in value, but the trade is not very good comp. OTT and NJD are at different stages of their rebuilds. Stone was deadline deal. And Stone picked where he wanted to play, which limited his return. So, Hall probably gets more established player back, less of a prospect.

Why do Nashville fans think they're getting an elite forward in exchange for Tolvanen and a couple picks. It's absolutely laughable.

I have seen four or fve AGM's that have Tolvanen as the main piece going the other way. It's going to take a current top 6 player to get Hall as NJ is not rebuilding, they are looking to contend.

Anybody remember that time the Devils added Gusev, Simmonds, Subban, and Hughes, all in the same summer, to convince Taylor Hall they would try to win while he can still skate? Wonder how that's going.
