1st things 1st, Sign the captain

Next step, moving Reimer. This isn't as complex as everone makes out to be. Riemer is overpaid? Yes, is he a bad goalie? No. Look through his stats, if he's given some help he's a good goaltender at times. Carolina retaining on this contract offers it a small value, to a team that may need a good backup if their KHL signing doesn't work out (Take one of the picks not both)

Then you take Gardiner on a 1 year prove it deal, if it doesn't work, let him walk, if it works, you have an option.

The top 9 is stellar, the blue line is spoiled for riches and the goaltending is the only question mark, if that holds up.... oh what this team could be... does it hold up? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no. I actually think Carolina miss the playoffs, finishing 6th in the Metropolitan but... we'll see. Time will tell

I think there's no way this team misses the playoffs.
Colorado is already a cap bottomfeeder, no reason to retain on Reimer.

Reimer and Fleury > Ned and Gardiner imo

I personally think the canes will finish 4th/5th in the metro and will be fighting for a wild card spot, kinda like last year.
