I voted no just based on the fact that carolina have too many goalies under contract imo and they should have just not offered him a qualifying offer

"too many goalies under contract" tell that to George McPhee a year ago, when Fleury, Subban, Dansk, and Lagacé got injured, forcing them to recall Dylan Ferguson up from the WHL on an emergency basis.

With how inconsistent Reimer and Mrázek can be, having Forsberg and Nedeljkovic as depth is actually a good backup plan.

Even with 4 injuries carolina would still have another goalie under contract to play without forsberg, also if injuries start piling up you can make a trade or sign someone; 6 goalies under contract to start the year is too much

2 in the NHL, 2 in the AHL, 2 in the ECHL (or, like, loan a goalie to another team)
I don't think it's as big of an issue as you're making it out to be.

At this price, how can you say No?

well, the Hurricanes also literally could not say no, according to arbitration rules: "Player elected Arbitration Settlements of 1 year and greater than $4,397,832, Club can walk away from the awarded salary, making the player a UFA [CBA 12.10(a)]" (https://www.capfriendly.com/arbitration)

Mrazek was up and down during the regular season and on fire in the playoffs, but got hurt so we know he isn’t invincible and Reimer has fallen off big time from how he was able to help carry FLA to *near playoff spot in 2017-2018 so having Forsberg at that price point sure isn’t a bad backup plan as far as goalies go someone else mentioned the situation in Vegas so there that is as well he can also possibly be flipped for a late pick at the deadline so they have options here.

Booth is ready for the AHL that's the thing; same applies to Nedeljkovic for NHL
