EDM needs to add to their scoring depth right now. I dont think they would even consider your package. As for the Habs trade it would have made sense a month ago but with Kulak/Chiarot having sign 3 years (1 way contract) + Mete (playing with weber) + Rielly (one way) the Habs will likely keep this defense for another year (waiting for Romanov). Im talking about the left side. For RNH, Walshtrom or Wilde + a first would be more realistic for RNH IMO

The Oil are not looking to trade one of the few good forwards they have where the return is centered around another D prospect being the best player. Bellows has not shown much lately to garner interest, and the 1st is always nice but RNH is not a rental, he has another year at a good cap hit.

I think if this kind of trade happens the Oil look for Josh Bailey in a package back to play RW with Drai as the passer to him on that line. NYI would still need to add though, as RNH brings more overall than Bailey.

The Oil simply cannot go in a direction like this, leaving McD with even less help up front. It makes zero sense. Yes, the Oil can trade from the strength of 3 top centers, but only to address the lack of any current bonafide top 6 wingers.

Not sure why EDM would trade RNH, and the Islanders don't really need him (as much as I'd like him). I'd rather get a defensive 3C than an offensive 2C. Nelson played so well on the 2nd line and historically has not done as well at 3C, so it makes more sense to leave him there and spend less to get a lesser player than RNH.

MTL really doesn't need Leddy anymore, they've said this so many times and I agree with them.

Disagree 1000% but I get what you mean by "anymore". They need a player like him so badly its scary. They just don't have the space for him anymore. That's all. They signed Chariot instead.....

The Habs defense is just as bad as it was as last year if not worse and it was a leading reason why the PP sucked too. They need creativity from the back end. Petry is the only guy they have like that and as good as Petry is, he's not a PP specialist type player.

Leddy is and would be a solid PP quarterback and could actually play 23 mins a night to boot giving Weber a player that could hold his own while they both play big minutes. Bless Mete's heart but there is a reason he hasn't scored a goal yet in in his career. Lacks the goal scoring prowless and shot needs to beat NHL goalies.

Let me rephrase. You definitely need Leddy, but your defense is set enough that Bergevin doesn't seem like he'll go after a left-handed defenseman. I mean, we'll happily take Tatar or picks and Mike Reilly, but I can't see MTL doing that anymore.

Yeah that's what i meant. Although Kulak or Chariot could be pushed to the right side on the bottom pair to make it work. Folin, Juulsen, Reilly are far from guaranteed spots in the lineup.
