There is ZERO chance Edmonton says yes! No way they take on Okposo!

RNH>Risto
Kassian's contract>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Okposo's contract
A first does not close the value difference imo

Retain some salary on that Okposo contract and maybe. Still 3 years left on it though, reeally tough sell.

I am against adding first round picks to move a cap dump, which is basically what this is. We are stuck with him, i just hope he is played on the 4th line or press box, and not put in a place where he is expected to contribute just because of his contract.

No one is more disgusted with the 3 year reign of DATM than I.
While I am as disappointed with Okposo as everyone else, he is not that bad.
Buffalo should not be so desperate to use a first to move his salary.
He has the same salary hit as Backes or Lucic but has more goals than both of them combined. They are pure cap dumps.
He is very good on the PP, played only 13.75 min/gm yet had 14 goals.
I think he is untradable because his salary is about 3 times the value of his production, I wish we could utilize that cap for other purposes, but he is not trash.
I think Buffalo will be stuck with him until his contract runs out, or one more concussion ends his career.

impossible to sell without adding too many sweeteners.

Yes we are stuck, but given more quality playing time he could have had 20 or more goals. BTW only 3 Sabres had over 20 goals.
