Jets have no cap space, even if the Sabres took Perreault it means Ristolainen eating up more of the very little cap space they Jets have or will have after Connor and Laine are presumably signed.

I suppose the Sabres could possibly retain a bit on Ristolainen to make it fit for the Jets.

As a Jets fan who's a fan of Ristolainen I really really wouldn't want this trade to happen, Roslovic has so much skill and potential.

The trade with Nashville doesn't make much sense from either end. Predators aren't in a cap crunch at the moment so they're better off holding onto Turris who has higher upside than Sheary - also no chance they agree to retain 2 mil in that trade. And I don't see why the sabres would trade for a 30 year old with five years left on his deal coming off a 23 point season. Seems like they could fill the 2C either internally or with a cheaper guy like derick brassard

Idk, Nashville might be better off to move Turris sooner than later, he might be the priciest 3C in the league and if he doesn't rebound he'll be painful to get rid of.

For the last time, Winnipeg can't afford Ristolainen without moving similar cap. Winnipeg has about $17,500,000 to sign 6 more players! And Connor and Laine will pretty much eat all of that all by themselves.

Risto is better than Roslovic.

Maybe right now but Roslovic has reached his full potential yet and I really don't care about Ristolainen, would much rather have Roslovic.
