I'm not saying they're a contender in 2020-21, I'm saying they have enough pieces in place to become a contender. Byfield, Brown and Norris as your eventual top 3 pivots. Batherson, White, Légaré as your top 3 RW, some combo of Tkachuk, Formenton, Crookshank, Abromov on LW. A stellar compliment of young D with Chabot, Brannstrom, Barron, Bernard Docker, Thomson, Tychonic... And that's leaving out a lot of other names (Pinto, Chlapik, Davidsson...) and the additional FIVE 2nd rd picks in 2020. This is a great compliment of players and, yes, eventually they will need to move some of them out to acquire some playoff experienced vets, but it wouldn't be smart to jump the gun on that.

This is assuming that they all reach their potential in a short amount of time. There are so many things that can wrong here. There will have to be some veterans added by Dorion via trade or free agency.

True. Some will not reach their ceiling but with the amount of players and prospects I've listed, along with the additional FIVE 2nd rd picks in 2020, even if a few falter OTT will have enough young, talented, and affordable forwards to build a top 9, and their D is looking pretty great. And, as I already said, WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT, they can trade some picks for veterans or go after some UFAs. No need to rush that. Baring some crazy opportunity presenting itself it's probably better to work with what we've got until 2022-23/2023-24. IMO the only thing that could derail them being a contender by then is if none of our goalie prospects work out and we fail to find a net minder to get us into contention.

Haha. That guy has been on my IGNORE LIST for over a year now. I only got to see his post because you quoted it. I have no time for people who love trash talking more than talking hockey.
