What would you say about wood for zadorov?

Not enough for hall and galchenyuk. Jets decline since they don’t need carrick. Too much for wood

Just because they have money to spend now doesn't mean they should spend it.

Signing those contracts for guys like Galchenyuk and Pageau and Edmundson now only hurts their chances of getting Gusev and/or Palmieri locked up long term. Unless Schneider's money gets moved out, this isn't something they should be doing. They need to keep money free for if Hischier ends up demanding more than $7M on a contract, or if Hughes needs over $10M, or if PK turns out to be a great fit and should get an extension. Hall also should be getting a number close to Panarin's, if not higher. It's going to be tough to keep them all, and being players in free agency like this will end up hurting them.

Also Edmunson honestly may play elsewhere because the dude wants to get paid. I don’t think he deserves 4+ but to each his own

i think its a distinct possibility hall takes under 11 - he's made it clear he cares about winning, crosby and geno took less than market val - not saying his worth is not 12-13 mill, I just think money is not the decision he's basing off of, if he frees up 2 mill by taking 11 over 13, it makes a massive difference

like crosby said tho, only works if everyone does (hischier 7 instead of 8, hughes x instead of y, etc)

I would trade Wood for Zadorov in a heartbeat

Also, that's a pretty large jump in the salary cap for next year.
