Solid thoughts. I don't see Perlini on the team. Think he gets traded? I actually think he gets signed and plays with Debrincat/Strome, but it hasn't happened yet. Shaw would drop down to the 3rd line. Which leave Nylander in Rockford. Some of the CHI blogs have pointed out that Anders Sorensen was a key contributor in for making this trade and he's on Rockfords' coaching staff. I personally think there's a 95%+ chance he's in Rockford regardless. I know I'm in the minority there, but all the little things scream Rockford to me at least for a little while. Maybe he spends the entire year there, but ultimately gets to play with Toews/Kane next year. His talent level his definitely high. It's the other things everyone worries about. DeHaan on the top pair is a tough one. I think he's a good defensive Dman, but Keith is still a top pair Dman IMO.

Do you kind Dach actually starts the year with the big club? Don't think it hurts having Cagguila playing 3C and therefore makes room for Nylander and lets Dach ripen up his skills in junior for one more year

It's a tough question. Depends on the Traverse City prospect tourney, training camp, and the 9 game NHL tryout. I don't mind if Dach gets sent back to Saskatoon. I do think the Hawks have created an environment where it won't be a rushed situation. His development would be protected by the players and roles assigned/given to him. Drake's taken less than 100 face offs in the last 2 seasons combined, so while he's an options...the Hawks don't really have a solid #3C choice. If Dach gets sent down I'd say Kampf or Carpenter does it, but similar to this post they're more a #4C.

Agree with exo's comments around Nylander. However, I think either Saad or Shaw are a lock for the 2nd line. That RW position needs a two way guy because Strome and Cat don't play a 2 way game at all leaving the defense vulnerable when that line is on the ice without a defensive forward.

Also don't think we see Dach for more then 9 games this year and Kampf will be the 3C. Between Perlini, Kubalik, and Sikura, one of those guys will go on the 1st line like you have here and the other on the 3rd line opposite of Shaw or Saad depending which one plays next to Strome.

I think Boqvist will play a handful of games until DeHaan is ready to come back...no reason to rush him back after shoulder surgery. But once De Haan is back we are likely looking at...

Keith - Gus
DeHaan - Seabs
Maatta - Murphy

Murphy should be playing ahead of Seabs but there is no way pairing Seabs and Maatta together is smart given they are both extremely slow skaters. Maybe Maatta and Murphy though play the 2nd line, but hard to imagine Maatta playing over DeHaan in the lineup as I believe Dehaan is a better player hands down.

It's Crow's net, he'll play ahead of Lehner although they should see close to even amount of games.

Don't forget there's a possibility of deadline moves such as Gustafsson, Saad, or just to unload some extra prospects, so there's a chance guys like Saarela get a shot also Nylander for some time in the NHL.

If the Hawks aren't in a playoff run. If they are, don't see them moving Gus or Saad.
