WPG matches, they have 8 mil left to resign Laine, it would have to be at least 10.5 (whatever the lowest you can do that forces you to give up 4 firsts) before they'd consider not matching

Connor is not worth $9M. Also they would only have like $6.3M to sign Laine after bringing up 3 other forwards.
They take the picks and probably launch a rebuild if they can’t move cap elsewhere.

Connor is definitely not worth $9M, I think taking the picks would be the better move then matching.

We needed Barrie or Trouba, not Gardiner or Connor. And we'd like to keep the draft picks. Right now, I think we're set unless somebody has trouble signing someone.
