So let me get this straight, Rangers trade one of their best players for a guy who hasn't even made that NHL jump yet?

Tolvanen being traded for Kreider is something i'm very against. Maybe if Kreider wasn't 1 season away from a paycheck we couldn't afford, it'd work better in my eyes. With Josi, Kreider, Granlund, and Smith as UFAs, two of them will not be able to be retained due to the raises some of them will be expecting (Josi + 4-5M, Kreider + 3.5-4.5M from the retained pricepoint, Granlund 2-3M, Smith 1.5-2.5M). Would just be bad business decision in my eyes if we traded our best forward prospect and then had to go and let two of our better forwards walk as UFAs (poile isn't going to let Josi walk if he can help it)

Tolvanen is the Preds best prospect, it's good for the Rangers, probably too good for a rental really.
