Jacked to watch the Sabres this season, my only concern would be the goaltending, just not sure that tandem is gonna get it done but we'll see.
I as well. Let's hope Bales can do his magic with the GK. I as well like the future, but it would take a lot of luck for the Sabres to make the playoffs.

Goaltending was not close to the problem last year
While you are correct, Betterall added 2 mid six forwards, 3 RHD and hired Bales to improve the GK. So not adding new GK (other than Hammond) we have to rely on coaching to improve the GK, while the other issues were addressed with new players. BTW little is made of the UFA's Betterall signed, but these are small moves that save assets. Remember when DATM had to give up a 5th to get Anders Nilsson, well Hammond could save Buffalo a draft pick. That is one of the small details that is over looked by many people.

If this is what i think will happen, its pretty close to on the money. I think johansson is not a center, but hes got rodrigues on his line, just flip them. Its not enough though. The goals for and goals against may very well improve, our division makes it very tough to climb up too much. Do i think hes done?- no, but with the cap the way it is i dont expect any significant improvement.
Thanks. Buffalo maybe the 6th best team in the Atlantic,
Tampa
Toronto
Florida
Boston
Montreal
all but Florida had 96 or more pts
Buffalo
Detroit
Ottawa
so it is possible to get to 100 pts and still miss the playoffs.
Edit: Let me add, Dallas, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Nashville may be trading partners. Edmonton may deal away Gagner and Nashville Perreault for Scandella or Bogosian. I am not giving them away for 5th or even 4th round picks.
Betterall is not done, he is patient and will wait until the deal is right.
