Ladue is worth less or worthless. Either way. Much rather see if Seny develops into anything rather than move him for a 8th/9th dman. Trade is pointless.

So Ward has been a really bad goalie for a few years, and has stayed in the NHL for his early career excellent performance. He really doesn't seem like much of an NHL goaltender for the last few years.

While there is an argument to be made to try to save the 1-2 million you could by moving out Halak, he was IMHO a huge reason you made it as far as you did, as both he and Rask were awesome for the majority of the year, and it allowed Rask to stay fresh. I'm not sure that is the area I'd try to save that million bucks. I think it provides good bang for the small cost.

(sometimes I feel weird when I literally say 1 million dollars is a small cost, but sports are what they are)

I figured in return we might as well receive a depth d-man to replace K Miller - Ladue is only 26 years old and may still have room to develop. Likely, he wouldn’t crack the Bruins 19/20 roster. Originally had Brickley in the trade but changed it to Ladue do to his experience in the majors.

He’s a UFA next year, they would not even re-sign him with Mac/Carlo/Clifton/Kampfer all on roster as RD already next year. You are trading a guy on his ELC for someone they would put on waivers, if he clears spends the year at Prov, then walks. Waste.
